Service Container

Introduction

The GridSAM service is a J2EE web application that is configured to run in the OMII-UK Container. It is know to work in other Servlet 2.4 compliant containers such as

  • Jakarta Tomcat 5.0 series (Tested with 5.0.28)
  • Jakarta Tomcat 5.5 series (Tested with 5.5.7)
  • Sun J2EE 1.4 Application Server

NOTE: We strongly encourage you to use the OMII container for ease of installation and configuration. Use of alternative containers are NOT SUPPORTED. We seek to document the installation procedure for these containers in the future. The instruction here would be the base for J2EE application experts to experiment with the settings for other containers.
